A: Army Chaplains and Chaplain Assistants are accessioned in much the same manner as other Army Officers and enlisted personnel. If you are a civilian, the best place to start your journey is with your local Army Recruiter. Q: How can I get information about an upcoming course or class date?
A: If you are currently a service member inquiring about the availability of an upcoming course or particular class at USACHCS the first thing to do is to contact your unit training NCO and have them look up the information on the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) using School Code 805D. For more specific course information such as packing lists, etc., contact the USACHCS Registrar at email@example.com. Welcome packets and emails for upcoming courses are typically sent 4-6 weeks prior to scheduled start dates.
Q: Where can I find current Army Religious Support Doctrine or Regulation(s)?
A: The most recent versions of Army Regulation 165-1, Army Chaplain Corps Activities, and Field Manual 1-05, Religious Support, can be accessed from the Army Publishing Directorate website at http://www.apd.army.mil.
